Family Search
in Saxony & Central Germany
Searching for your ancestors from Saxony or central Germany and want to learn more about your family history? Then you are in the right place!
Saxony offers a fascinating variety of genealogical sources that can help you unravel the history of your family. Whether you want to trace your ancestors back to the early modern period or are conducting current family research – Saxony holds many treasures for you.
Genealogy research in Saxony requires patience and careful investigation. I am happy to assist you with my over 30 years of expertise in your family research. From the initial orientation to the detailed reconstruction of your ancestral line in a pedigree or family tree, I am here for you!
Are you stuck in your family research? I have extensive experience with so-called „dead ends“ – situations where no further records can be found in church books. This often happens when a family has moved from an unknown place, leaving no clues about their origin. Feel free to contact me in such cases!
I will research for you in a variety of sources:
By the way: My work is not limited to Saxony; I am also happy to research for you throughout Central Germany.

Preservation of history & knowledge
The translation of old german documents and texts preserves valuable historical and cultural heritage for the future.
Whether it’s an old postcard, a letter from german great-grandfather, a historical certificate, a yellowed diary in german language, and much more – transcription makes these writings accessible and comprehensible for present and future generations.
EXPERIENCE
I am an expert in old scripts and fonts, familiar with the specifics of past eras. My focus is on transcriptions from the 16th to the 19th century.
PRECISION
I place great importance on accuracy and attention to detail. No aspect, no matter how small, is overlooked. Additionally, I place the results within their respective historical context.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Your documents and information, our communication, as well as the results of my work, are, of course, handled with the utmost care and discretion.

Benefit from my experience
Since I was 14 years old, I have been researching the family tree of my own family and currently trace some lines back to the early Middle Ages. Even during my vacation time with my grandparents, I was fascinated by this topic – and it still captivates me to this day.
I have my own small archive and a wealth of experience from over 30 years of intensive genealogical research.

Prices
Prices
Transparent and fair, based on your needs
Quality and transparency are my top priorities. Since every project is unique and has different requirements, I calculate the costs individually. The price depends on factors such as the type and scope of the material to be transcribed, eventually travel expenses, the difficulty of the scripts, or the desired format.
This is how I calculate the prices:
No fixed prices? The variety of historical texts makes a flat-rate price difficult. I want to ensure that each project is treated with the care and attention it deserves – without unnecessary costs. My goal: the best possible service at a fair price for you.
